The success of the Michael Levin Lone Soldier Foundation depends on its family of generous supporters and contributions go toward addressing the unique needs of Lone Soldiers. A core component of perpetuating Michael Levin’s legacy is to educate others about the challenges Lone Soldiers need to overcome in order to succeed during their service.

The Michael Levin Lone Soldier Foundation has a number of ways to draw a personal link to the impact of a generous donation, whether from an individual, a community, or an organization.

The Foundation also welcomes and appreciates general donations to ensure that Lone Soldiers’ other unique needs are met.

Shabbat Dinner for one soldier – $18 (feed 10 soldiers for $180)
For many Lone Soldiers they lack the time while on base to make arrangements for Shabbat meals or arrive home too late to shop and cook. The availability of fully prepared take away Shabbat meals can help alleviate the stress of worrying what they will do for Shabbat. And who doesn’t want to feed a soldier!?

Toiletry package – $36 (provide for 10 soldiers for $360)
The toiletry package includes basic items such as toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, deodorant and feminine hygiene products.

Welcome Package – $250
Lone soldiers and lone b’not sheirut come to Israel ready to serve but not always equipped with the basics. Some even lack the basic funds to purchase daily essential items on their own. This includes pillows, bed linen, towels, blankets, toiletries and socks. Providing welcome packages filled with these basic items will ensure that any lone soldier or lone bat sheirut in need has all the basic items without worry.

Post Army Program – $500
Many lone soldiers and lone bat sheirut find the transition from army life to civilian life very challenging. Questions like, should I look into Higher Education? What am I entitled to as a former lone soldier or Bat Sheirut? How can I find a job in the field I want without a network or guidance as to where to start? Your donation helps to ensure that they get the advise and guidance they need on connections to potential employers, interview preparation, CV writing and financial planning. By sponsoring post army/post sheirut counseling, you are ensuring that these selfless individuals are guaranteed a strong foothold when entering civilian life.

Mental Health Program – $750
Especially now – with COVID-19, it has become apparent that all organizations dealing with young men and women need to heighten their awareness of increased mental health concerns. The Michael Levin Lone Soldier Foundation grants funds to be used for one-on-one counseling for lone soldiers and lone b’not sherut. Your donation ensures that this counseling can be provided to those in need.

*Israeli Covid Health guidelines will be strictly enforced for all programs

Additional funds raised will help to fund general programs and projects throughout the year.
